My answer.

Pop music in the Caribbean today generally carries messages that crime, violence and easy sex are good and desirable. Pop music contains a lot of profanity and curse words which encourage young people to use curse words. Pop music also glorifies violence against women, homosexuals and other people. It also glorifies crime and criminal activity by making criminals out to be heroes in their songs. When they focus on sex, pop music encourages both men and women to view each other as sex objects.

The messages in pop music that easy sex is good are reinforced by the types of dances that are popular with the youth. These dances all tend to highlight the sex act in some way. In fact, in many of the dances, all the dancers are doing is pretending that they are engaging in some kind of sex act. This focus on sex and sex acts, violence, crime and profanity is having a negative effect on the youth of the region. The pop music corrupts them by encouraging them to use profanity as a way of communicating, to view violence and crime as acceptable social activities and therefore encourages them to do it. In addition, pop music and dance corrupts the youth by encouraging them to see sex as a normal recreational activity which has no consequences. Popular dance also encourages them to engage in pretend sex acts in public, which they call dancing.

The result of this is the corruption of the youth in the Caribbean. The youth do not see anything wrong with their behavior and they do not accept any responsibility for any negative consequences of their actions. As far as the youth are concerned, they are simply living their lives and they cannot be held responsible if it results in any negative outcomes.
