i just wanted to know as a private candidate will the registration fee be the same

Hello, yes, these are the fees that CXC has set for CXC CSEC exam registration.

There may be local fees in addition. These may be fees set by your local Ministry of Education for processing your CXC CSEC exam registration application.

Since these local fees vary by exam territory, you will need to contact your Ministry of Education (Overseas Examinations Commission in Jamaica) for more information on this.

Hey, if you registered as a PRIVATE candidate, can you sit the exams at any institutions?

Hello,
No, you cannot sit the exam at any institution. Private candidates normally receive instructions from the Ministry of Education or the Overseas Examination Commission (CXC Local Registrar) on which exam centre to attend to sit their exams.

does chemistry have a third Paper for those who are not doing SBA?

tutor (not verified) 2 September 2014 - 8:47pm

I'm currently a full time student at my school however, I chose to write several science subjects such as Biology and Chemistry and Integrated Science while I'm still in form four. My teachers have recommended me and believes I will be successful and these courses.

Right now, I can only write the 3rd papers for these subjects because I haven not completed the SBA's as yet...Can I register through my school and still write the 3rd papers.

I DO NOT want to register as a PRIVATE candidate SO I need to know can I register through/ with my school and still be able to write the 3rd paper as a student of my current school.

I would appreciate a quick response and a link where CXC has this in writing. THanks in Advanced

my parents are moving to another county, really far away from our current location, is it possible, in any way to write my csec exams in another school?

Hi Edward, You can write your CXC CSEC exams in another school, if  the school is in a Caribbean territory where the exams are given. If this is not the case, and you are moving out of the Caribbean region, it will not be possible for you to sit these exams. Sorry.

Hi. I'd like some more information on how to register as a private candidate to sit 3 exams, the entry cost and cost per subject and as well the earliest date possible for me to sit the exams. I. e. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, POA, HUMAN AND SOCIAL BIOLOGY.

guest (not verified) 30 October 2018 - 11:12pm

The fees for the exams are due tomorrow, but my parents are struggling to get the fees paid. If we are unable to pay it tomorrow, is there another time that we will get to pay it?

Natalie (not verified) 3 September 2019 - 5:06pm

Do Private Candidates do SBA's or do they sit pappers 3?

admin 12 October 2020 - 9:45pm

In reply to by Chev (not verified)

Hello,

Private candidates, people who are out-of-school  do not do SBAs. Instead they sit a third exam paper - Paper 3.
