For all of those out there my plan to this is when ever you get the free time eg a vacation off use this cxc maths past paper questions and work out the question carefully, then if you dont understand a certain sum go to cxc answer sheets for maths.

can sum1 help me with this question plz s=1/2(u+v)t express u in terms of v,s and t.

guest (not verified) 30 December 2011 - 6:17am

s=1/2(u+v)t express u in terms of v,s and t:
- Multiply the equation by 2t and get 2ts = 1/(u+v)
- take the reciproce value on both sides: 1/2ts = u + v
- subtract v on both sides: 1/2ts - v = u

dat ans is incorrect ... should of expanded (u+v)t to give ut+vt so hence the ans wod be 2s-vt/t
