Our essay competition (Yes!)

We have been swamped with requests for membership... I am not quite sure why really. Unfortunately we cannot ...really we cannot sustain open membership at this time. I have been persuaded to do something else though, we are having an essay competition!

Yeah, yeah, so what, you say? Well, the 5 prizes for this essay competition are memberships in CaribExams.org :-)

This is how it works: I publish the essay question on Sunday, today, and you, have five (5) days until Thursday 12.00 midnight to send in 1 essay answer of 250-300 words (Just like the CXC CSEC English A exam).

I read over the essays and select the best 5 for publication in our model essays section. The best 5 essays will be published by the following Sunday, and we start the whole thing all over again.

The top 5 essays will be published here weekly and the writers of the essays will be invited to join our CaribExams community. Simple.

Oh... one more thing, you have to be over 18 years of age to send in an essay. Sorry about that under 18's!

This week's essay question:

Your teacher is strongly opposed to students using online CXC study resources. She insists that all her students use only her notes to prepare for the CXC exams. Write a letter to your community newspaper explaining why you agree or disagree with your teacher's position.

Remember your answer must be between 250-300 words. Please email your essays to kdaniel@caribexams.org

Good luck to everyone who chooses to participate.

UPDATE: Please include your full (real!) name, location and contact information e.g. email address and phone number. Thanks!
