The University of Guyana is in the process of moving from its temporary locations and expects to have resettled on the Turkeyen Campus by Friday, November 7, 2008. The institution has however, finalized its schedule for the commencement of the 2008/2009 academic year and is therefore now in a position to make it public.
This schedule is as follows:
Registration - November 10 – 21
Supplemental Exams - November 10 – 21 (download timetable)
Ceremonial Opening of the Academic Year - Friday, November 21, 2008 at 17:00h in the George Walcott Lecture Theatre
Official Commencement of Lectures - Monday, November 24, 2008
The University will publish the full Supplemental Examination time-table this week-end. Prospective Graduates who have not yet verified their status are asked to check with their faculties to ascertain whether they are required to sit supplemental exams.

Notes:
• Students must show one of the following documents (together with their Student Registration cards or Place Offer Letters) at the Admissions Division in order to uplift their registration forms:

o Receipt/s for tuition and/or miscellaneous payments.
o Waiver approval letter.
o Sponsorship letter.
o Loan Award and receipt for miscellaneous payment.
• Students are advised to complete registration on the dates assigned to their respective faculty/school.

• Applicants/Students whose registration forms are not submitted to the Admissions Division by December 5, 2008, would be debarred from attending classes and from writing examinations. In other words, such applicants would not be considered bona fide students of the University.
