2012 Registration OPEN for OAS online course:
"Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers with Web 2.0 Tools and 21st Century Skills"
This online course, developed in collaboration with iEARN-USA (International Education and Resource Network), is an initiative of the department of Human Development, Education and Culture of the Organization of American States (OAS).
This course provides Educators with tools, knowledge and skills in the meaningful use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the classroom. The purpose of the course is to help Teacher Educators integrate Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and innovative methodologies in their classroom course work with future teachers.
The course objectives are aligned with UNESCO’s “ICT Standards for Teachers”. The course content centers on ICT integration in the curriculum using a constructive approach through student-centered methodologies, project-based learning and collaborative online projects. Teacher educators from different countries build virtual learning communities to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences to enhance the preparation of future educators.
The OAS Department of Human Development, Education and Culture and iEARN-USA located in USA; are offering scholarships for the 2012 course: “Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers with Web 2.0 Tools and 21st Century Skills”. Scholarships recipients will be selected from among applications submitted to the OAS Department of Human Development, Education and Culture through the National Liaison Office (ONE) in each Member State.
