OAS hosts Teacher Training - Managing WEB 2.0 Tools (2014)

Course Objective: To strengthen the capacities of educators to develop innovative learning strategies and teaching methodologies that utilizes tools from the Web 2.0 to improve the quality of education, on-site learning, and blended modalities.
Target Group: Classroom teachers and teacher educators that are citizens of Barbados, Saint Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago and are currently working in educational institutions.
Study Venue: The distance education course will be delivered entirely online (Internet) through the Educational Portal of the Americas
Virtual Classroom and requirements a) minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, asynchronous (not simultaneously);
b) Basic computer skills such as handling e-mail, word processing and internet skills.
Throughout the course an expert tutor will support, guide participants and facilitate all levels of learning. The Virtual Classroom has a user manual and a help tool.

Duration: Twelve (12) weeks

Start and End Dates: June10th to September3rd, 2014
