Looking for CXC results
Well, it has been an interesting week so far! Trying to find out about the CXC results is almost like looking for Big Foot!! You've heard about it, there are rumours about it, but has anyone actually seen it?? Smile.. Just joking. But the hunt for CXC results goes on. CAPE results are out I am told, in Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago. The interesting thing about that is this: on CXC's website, the CAPE results were listed as coming out a week after CSEC results, if I am not mistaken - I might be though, mistaken that is. I tried to reconfirm that with CXC's website but it was down and so I cannot get access to their calendar.
I have to thank our guest from Barbados for helping me out with some misinformation, sorry about that. I actually have a google news alert out on CXC exam results....if any newspaper, in any part of the Caribbean, publishes anything about CXC exam results on the internet, google is supposd to send me an alert about it. LOL so far, I am drawing blanks. We have a maybe Thursday for Trinidad and Tobago but nothing else, so the wait goes on.....
I really feel for you guys waiting for results, if it was me, I would have a bad stomach by now. Well, "bear up" we are looking toward the end of the week for something, anything. Once we have some news, it will be posted here right away. And we thank all our friends who are keeping their ears to the ground for us. Holla if your hear something.....
Tomorrow.
**News flash** I was wrong. CXC released CAPE results one week earlier than CSEC results. CAPE results were released on the 11th August 2008 and CSEC results were released on the 18th August 2008. Smile... just in case you cared or wanted to know.

Re: News about Guyana's results
I agree with Toney. Thanks a lot for posting the news article. So at least we have an idea of what is happening in Guyana. Okay Guyanese buddies and guests! We are looking at Monday next week for CSEC results distribution by the schools.
Guests from Trinidad have told us that results maybe out in the schools there by tomorrow Thursday...but no news from Jamaica as yet, nor Barbados or any of the other islands. What's happening there? Our buddies or guests from Jamaica and Barbados...can anyone give us some news on the status of results in JA and Barbados?
www.cxc.org?
Hey buddy... According to kathy in her blog, she mentioned that the website was down. Read the article above detailed information. I hope this helps.

NEWS ABOUT GUYANA'S RESULTS
CSEC, CAPE results out
THE much anticipated results of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations are expected to arrive here today, according to Director of the National Centre for Education Research Development (NCERD) Mr. Mohandatt Goolsarran.
He made the disclosure yesterday to the Guyana Chronicle during an ongoing education workshop being held at the Regency Hotel on Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
The NCERD Director pointed out that after its arrival here, the results will first be analysed by the relevant officers in the Ministry of Education. This process normally takes a day.
Once completed, he said distribution to the schools will commence the following day.
According to a senior education officer, Guyana performed “exceptionally well†this year in the subject areas of Mathematics and English, compared to other candidates from the region who sat the examinations.
The Guyana Chronicle was also told that the results of the Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) arrived here yesterday.
Education Minister Sheik Baksh is expected to disclose these results at a press briefing today. (Tajeram Mohabir)

So we can expect the Guyanese schools to receive the results on Friday, but since they have to make an analysis of their respective results, we can probably expect the results to be issued to students on MONDAY.
Meanwhile, I am quite happy that Guyana did exceptionally well in Maths and English =) Go Guyana!
