"...What does this mean for you? It means that if you wish to sit the CXC CSEC exams in January 2012, your application must be submitted to the CXC Local Registrar in your exam territory well before this date.

We suggest that exam candidates interested in sitting the CXC CSEC exams in January 2012 contact their Ministries of Education or the Overseas Examination Office (Jamaica) early in September 2011 to start the application process."

In all territories where CXC exams are given, the CXC Local Registrar in charge of CXC exams is located in the Ministry of Education, with the exception of Jamaica. In Jamaica, the CXC Local Registrar's office is in the office of the Overseas Examination Commission.

does any1 know when the sbas are due date to to the january cxc exams ?

SBAs are not submitted for the January cycle of the CXC CSEC exams. If you sat the exams this May/June 2011, as a 'resit' exam candidate in January, your SBA marks from the May/June 2011 will be carried over and used for the January exam.

If, however, you are not a resit exam candidate, and this is your first time sitting the exam, you will be required to sit a "paper 3" or alternative exam instead of completing an SBA or carrying over SBA marks from this year's May/June exams.

Here is what CXC says: (scroll down the page)

"Q: What is a Resit candidate?

A: A Resit Candidate is any candidate who at the time of registering for an examination, opts to reuse his/her SBA.... Regulations, governing the reuse of the CSEC SBA stipulate that the candidate must have achieved an SBA score of 50% or more of the moderated score.... "

If you have sit jan 2011 and jun 2011, as a trinidad nation, do you have to pay for these exams because I seeing something about fees on the back of the forms.

hey admin
when will this information about the centre names be published?
would it be on the net or the newspapers?
why is it in trinidad that they said it would be published and there is nothing yet and then you are informing us to check the local registrar?

Hello, on our front page we state, "This community is not affiliated with the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC)."

What this means is that we have no confirmed knowledge whatsoever about the CXC exam centers.

Our advice to contact the local Ministry of Education/ CXC Local Registrar is based on the fact that they are the ones in charge of the CXC exam centers in the various countries. They are also the ones who assign candidates to the CXC exam centers.

If you are told that the exam centers will be published by the 16th December 2011, you should look for them. If you do not see your exam centre published by this date, the best advice I can give you is to contact the Local Registrar at the Ministry of Education in your country.

To those of you that are seeking information about the loacation of venues for the cesec examinations in Trinidad and Tobago, you can view the ministry of education webpage moe.govt.tt and you should see a list published of all the centers/ venues. I just checked and I saw all the venues and centres available. Happy studying everyone

Hello,

There is no place for individuals to register online; only the local registrars in the CXC territories can register students online.

Are you sure you missed the local registration dates for the CXC CSEC January 2013 exam? It is still August 2012 and CXC CSEC exam registration is going in just about every examining territory right now.

In Trinidad, which has the earliest registration deadline, late registration is still going on till 7th September, 2012.
