Where can I access January 2012 exam forms

guest (not verified) 26 August 2011 - 11:51am

I can't seem to locate the jan. 2012 cxc forms on my ministry of education site. I called them and they said i gotta download it from said website. Didn't registration ended in august last year? Where almost at the end of august and there still aren't any forms up on the ministry of education website. I'm from Trinidad and Tobago, is it just me or is everyone else having this problem.

HI...I am from Dominica and can't seem to locate the registration form for the examination in my country. Help needed.

Hi, we haven't been able to find the CXC CSEC registration form for Dominica on the internet either. I suspect that it is not posted and that you will have to go into the Ministry of Education in person to pick it up.

I would hurry if I was you, the deadlines seem to be pretty close.

if i can have a contagious disease like measles or chicken pox at the time of my exam, should i still go to do it? what provisons will be made for me?

Hello,
You will not be allowed to enter the CXC examination room if you have a contagious disease. The regulations state:

"Candidates who have been exposed to any infectious disease will not be permitted to enter any examination centre unless they produce a medical certificate indicating that they are out of quarantine."

Regulation 9.6 - adverse circumstances

So it appears that if you are contagious, you will have to submit a medical certificate to the Local Registrar before you will be allowed to sit any CXC exam. You will probably also have to make arrangements with the Local Registrar to sit an alternate exam at a later date...or something like that. Contact your Local Registrar in the Ministry of Education (Overseas Examinations Office/Jamaica) for more details.

hi! today which marks the 28 of december 2011 I have rceived a envelope stating that i have to write the spanish orals today. But the problem is that the post man supposed to have dropped the letter about a week before i have to write the exam and it didnt happen cause it is only around some minutes to 12 i have received it and i am now seeing that i have to write the exam today.. can u please tell what i should do.

Go to the location of the orals exam with the letter and explain the situation to them, or go to the Ministry with the letter and explain the situation to them and see what they have to say.

Sorry about that. Really sorry they put you in that position.

I have not received my exam slip and I just checked the time table and I see that I need to write the English paper on Tuesday. I singed up to write the csec exam in the couva area. What should I do?

Hmm, not sure what you can do at this point...

Are you in Trinidad too? If so, maybe you can call the Ministry of Education on Tuesday morning before the CXC CSEC exams start and ask them to give you the information over the phone?

Anybody else has any suggestions?

I will try that. I also looked at the centres for Couva and there are two, can I go early to both and see if my name is there? If I show them my ID and registration form, would they have my exam slip information there?

admin 31 December 2011 - 4:32am

They may have your information at the exam centres or they may not. They may want to check for your name or they may not, who knows? I don't.

It may be a good idea to both call the Ministry, if you can, early on Tuesday morning (Jan. 2nd 2012), and go to the exam centres as well. If one doesn't work, the other might. If you get to the exam centre before the exam begins at 9.00am, if they may have your exam information and let you sit the exam.

Looks like you are going to be very busy on Tuesday morning! Good luck! I hope you get to sit your exams with little trouble...

i heard that you have to go to the ministry of education web site and put in your number or the tree letter in your name and you will get the centre where u have to sit the exams

guest (not verified) 1 January 2012 - 7:05pm

I have other commitments that are more important that my January exam (writing May/June this year anyway, this is just a trial run) but I would like to write the exam to get an idea where I am at. I cannot write the English A paper 1 exam on Tuesday due to a previous engagement so I'm wondering if it's possible for me to write the paper 1 exam right after I write paper 2, so I won't have to wait till 1. Can I talk with the examiner or will it be a problem as the other students may also want to receive this 'special treatment'
