Cape Sociology for Caribbean Students

Whoever made Communication Skills manditory at CAPE should be -nuked- ;~;

I need help with doing ma communcation studies I.A!!!!!!URGENTLY...... PLZZZ ppl....contact me as soon as possible

I am doing CXC accounts this year, i start class a week ago, but find the subject challenging. For instance the accounts equation said that (Capital = Assets - Liability) however i was reading the text book and a part of it has (to find the capital value) and this is the equation they give (Fixed Assets + Current Assets = Capital + Long Term Liabilities + Short term liabilities)to me that equation is to find asset.
Can someone please help me to understand.

ummm i need help wit cape history cum n sociology.....any1 think they could help

You have to remember that CAPITAL is the resources supplied to the business by its owner.
ASSETS are the resources owned by the business...eg.a supermarket owns a van used for delivery.
LIABILITIES is the total of money owed for assets supplied to the business...eg. the owner of the supermarket took a loan from the bank to buy the van. Therefore the loan is a liability

NB....ASSETS = CAPITAL
Therefore the Accounting Equation is...Assets = Capital + Liabilities

A good text book to use is Principles of Accounts for the caribbean... fourth edition...By Frank Woods & Sheila Robinson.
