Registration for the CXC CSEC exams January 2012

Monday October 31st, 2011 is the deadline CXC has set for receiving entries for the CXC CSEC exams January 2012.

This means that the CXC Local Registrars must submit exam candidates entries to the CXC head office by this deadline.

What does this mean for you? It means that if you wish to sit the CXC CSEC exams in January 2012, your application must be submitted to the CXC Local Registrar in your exam territory well before this date.

We suggest that exam candidates interested in sitting the CXC CSEC exams in January 2012, contact their Ministries of Education or the Overseas Examinations Commission (Jamaica) early in September 2011, to access the registration forms and start the application process.

These are the current fees set by CXC for registering the CXC CSEC exams.

UPDATE Wed 31st, August 2011: Today, someone very kindly posted a link to the CXC exam registration form for the January 2012 exams for Trinidad and Tobago. Click here to access the CXC exam registration form for January 2012 for Trinidad and Tobago.

Click here to access the instruction page to help you fill out the CXC exam registration form for Trinidad and Tobago.

We have also made a fillable version of the Trinidad and Tobago CXC exam registration form for January 2012 available. This means that you can fill in all your information online and simply print the already filled-out form to sign and submit. Or, you can save the form, fill it in on a computer at a later point, print, sign and submit.

Either way, you do not have to fill it out by hand, you can do it online instead.

We look forward to more members and guests posting links to the exam registration forms for other CXC exam territories. We would be more than happy to add them to our list of links.

We have been directed to another CXC exam registration form online. This one is for Barbados.

This CXC exam registration form may be out-of-date (2011). We advise that you confirm the use of this form with the Barbados Ministry of Education.

Stll, we have also turned it into a fillable form which you can complete online.

do nationals have to pay any fees at all, including entry fee, subject fees, or administration fee?

This is not entirely correct. Somebody pays.

If the government of your territory pays for the CXC exams for its citizens or an organization like the NCB in Jamaica pays the exam fees for you, then you do not have to pay for it yourself.

If, however, your government or an organization like the NCB does not pay for the exams, then you will have to pay for it for yourself.

is the entrance fee of $162 applicable to each subject or do you just pay $162 to write any number of subjects?

Thank you.

Hi,
Here are the answers to your questions:

1) The form you link to is for Barbados exam candidates. If you are from Barbados it might have worked for you. However the Barbados Ministry of Education now says, "Each candidate should complete forms in person at the Ministry". So apparently that form cannot be used. You will need to go into the Ministry in person, collect a form there and fill it out there. You will need to carry your identification card.

2) The CXC CSEC math contains only two exam papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2. You do not tick the box with paper 3/2 for any reason.

Hi,

The deadline for registration for the CXC CSEC exams January 2012 has passed in most CXC exam territories. You will probably have to wait to register for the May/June 2012 exams. The open registration period for those exams will be coming up shortly.

If I am not mistaken, the final date for registration in Trinidad for the CXC CSEC January 2012 exams, was 16th September, 2011.

What are the exam fees for the CXCs in jamaica?

Also, who are considered nationals? If someone was born in and live in Jamaica currently, do they have to pay for the CXC exams?

Thanks
