Hey,everyone who did this exam. I wonder what the students in Trinidad r saying? This exam was showing us expect the unexpected. I did something that i shouldnot have done, i wonder if i will get penalized for it. If anyone who works at cxc is reading this u will see the mistake. I did not know that i could ask for more paper until after i saw someone got additional papers.
Can i get a response from other caribbean islands. We in Jamaica want to know if its just us who are complaining.

My advice to you is...study every topic. Although it is good to practise using past papers, do not expect the most common topics to be tested. That was the downfall of many students this year. In my opinion the paper was not difficult, with questions based on simple topics like the cash book etc. However many prepared for the more challenging areas and I think that was the downfall. In all, just study hard, organise your time well and I think you will be fine!

My niece is getting ready to take this course and wanted information on the importance of having a computer for the course. Is a laptop helpful? Any recommendation on what kind to get?

you don't need a computer...just a text book, blank paper and a good calculator...only if she may need to do some research but a special computer for the purpose is not needed.

I'M JUST HOPING FOR THE BEST IN MY UPCOMING ACCOUNTS EXAMS. I WANT TO BECOME AN ACCOUNTANT, BUT IRONICALLY I'M NOT REALLY FOND OF ACCOUNTS. BUT WITH HARDWORK (WHICH I'M CURENTLY NOT DOING) AND PERSEVERANCE (WHICH I LACK) I HOPE TO PASS. NOTHING BUT A GRADE 1 WITH DISTINCTION FOR ME..............AND NO, I'M NOT BEING SARCASTIC. JAMAICANS TEND TO MAKE MATHEMATICAL PROCEDURES SCARE THEM, BUT AS SCARED AS I AM, I WILL PASS! DON'T WANT TO CRAM EVERYTHING, BUT IF THAT'S WHAT IT'S GOING TO TAKE, THEN SO BE IT!

Hi I am totally stressed out abt my accounts exam. I made some foolish mistakes that i regret so so much.

Can u believe i didn't subtract the b/f for the petty cash book from the imprest amt which was $400. I mistakenly wrote the entire $400 .I was like honestly ignorant abt the b/f even though, ironically, I saw the b/f for the cash and bank.

I am so worried abt my results for my accounts exam because I really wanted a distinction for it among other subjects.I also made some mistakes in the manufacturing a/c that may cost me approximately 6 mks among other mistakes I probably made for the other problems I attempted that i am ignorant of because i didn't got to check my work over since time ran out on me.

When I did the paper two, I was feeling very nervous and my concentration was only on finishing all my problems within the specified time. The paper one was alright; I thing i got like abt 55.And for my S.B.A. I got 36 mks.

I would really like to know my expected grade for accounts. I would also really like to know if there is anyone out there that is in a situation similar to mine in there accounts exam.Your response will be HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

I don't know, but i think your problems is similar to mine,i also got a 36 out of 40 on my SBA,which i was confident of getting a distinction, from studying everyday. An because of the mistake i made,i am anxious, curious,of my results too.

I am so stressed out and i honestly wouldn't stop stressing until I obtain my results that I hope and pray to the lord would be satisfying. I love Accounts. It's my life. I really want my distinction. It has been my dream form ever since. I only hope that I get my distinction in my Accounts as well as Maths and English. And thank u for replying. I do hope that u acquire your distinction as well.
