Registration opens for CXC CSEC exams January 2010

Registration for CXC CSEC exams January 2010 begins August 18th 2009.

Registration for CXC CSEC exams January 2010 ends September 30th 2009

Please note: These dates are estimates since each island sets its own registration dates.


If you plan to sit the CXC CSEC exams in January 2010, we recommend that you register early.

We recommend that you register before the end of September 2009.

Private or out-of-school CXC CSEC exam candidates will need to register with the Examinations Section of the local Ministry of Education.

Jamaican CXC CSEC exam candidates will need to contact the Overseas Examinations Commission in Kingston, Jamaica.

I got a 4 in accounts so im going to have to resit.....I am from jamaica so when should i sort it out

you may be able to sign up with your birth certificate; I am not sure though. You should call the Ministry and check, or go to the Ministry and check.

I heard that registration for JAN is free. . . . . . Just want to make sure... is it ?

Yes, if you are from Trinidad and Tobago, the registration for CXC exams for private candidates (out-of-school) individuals is free.

Not sure about the other CARICOM territories, if anyone knows more, please post.

yeh it was free the dead line for that was last friday but i don't know if they extended it i my self need to go to MOE to sign up for JAN exams

Can i sit the January exam even if i didn't do it in June, i just want to do it January so do i pay September and just sit the exam normally?

Hi, yes, in September you just register for the CXC exams and pay the fees to sit in January. It doesn't matter whether you sat exams in June before.

You register with the local Ministry of Education (MOE) in your territory to sit the CXC exams. You can find contact information for the local MOEs in our links sections.

Hello, I don't think you can. In order to register for the exams, you would need to do it through the local registrar in one of the participating island territories. In order to do that, you would have to be resident in that island.
