CaribExams weekly essay contest - 4th March 2012

Here we are week 5 of our weekly essay contest.

The rules are these: I publish an essay question on Sunday, today, and you, have four (4) days until Thursday 12.00 midnight to send in 1 essay answer of 250-300 words (Just like the CXC CSEC English A exam).

I read over the essays and select the best 4 for publication in our model essays section. The best 4 essays will be published on the following Sunday, and we start the whole thing all over again.

The top 4 essays will be published here weekly and the writers of the essays will be invited to join our CaribExams community.

The four (4) winners also automatically become part of our model answers project.

You must be over 18 years of age to send in an essay and you must include your full name, age, location and contact information e.g. email address and phone number.

This week's essay question:

The government is wasting too much money buying school textbooks because the children are not reading them. More money should be spent on computer equipment which children prefer.

Write an essay either supporting or opposing this view.

Remember your answer must be between 250-300 words. Please email your essays to kdaniel@caribexams.org

Good luck to everyone who chooses to participate.
