Time management for the CXC CSEC math exam
Paper 1
Given that you have 90 minutes to answer 60 multiple choice questions,
this gives you an average time of 1 1/2 minutes to read and answer each question. You will need to budget your time accordingly.
Paper 2
Even though you have 2 hours and 40 minutes or 160 minutes to solve 10 problems. This gives you an average time of 15 minutes to answer each problem. Since you should leave at least one (1) minute to check over each of your answers at the end of the exam, this means that you will need to leave ten (10) minutes at the end of the exam to check over the paper.
