Suggested time management for answering papers 1, 2 and 3 of the CXC CSEC English A exam (2018)

Here is the time allowed for the three papers of the CXC CSEC English A exam.
Here we also give you some suggestions about how to manage your time in the exam room.
Paper 1
Time allowed: 1 hour 30 minutes.
Note: The time allowed for this exam paper in minutes = 90 minutes.
This mean you have 90 minutes to complete 60 multiple choice questions.
Paper 2
Time allowed: 2 hours 55 minutes.
Note: The time allowed for this exam paper in minutes = 175 minutes.
This means you have 10 minutes at the start of the exam to plan your essay answers and 165 minutes
to write 4 essay answers.
Paper 3
Time allowed: 2 hours.
Note: The time allowed for this exam in minutes = 120 minutes.
This means you have 120 minutes to plan and write 2 short answer questions and 1 extended creative piece.
Time management in the CXC CSEC English A exams
Paper 1
Given that you have 90 minutes to answer 60 multiple choice questions, this gives you an average time of 1 1/2 minutes to read and answer each question.
You will need to budget your time accordingly.
